Question 1

Is Resumr really free?

Accepted Answer

Free is available now, and no credit card is required. It includes every template, the full editor, and watermark-free downloads. The launch limit is 10 saved resumes, CVs, and cover letters combined, 100 tracked jobs, and 250 MB of uploads. Pro and Lifetime raise those limits. Checkout is not active, so this site does not collect a payment today.

Question 2

Do I need to sign up?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A free account saves your documents so you can come back to them. A new account starts with your name, email, and password.

Question 3

How do I start a document?

Accepted Answer

Open New Document, choose a resume, CV, or cover letter, and pick a template or a theme. Preview shows the whole page before anything is created. See all opens the full template library or the full theme library.

Question 4

Can I import my current resume?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upload an existing resume and Resumr reads it in your browser, then places the content into editable sections. You can restyle it instead of retyping it.

Question 5

Which page sizes are supported?

Accepted Answer

US Letter is the default. A4 and custom sizes are in Design, under Page.

Question 6

What is included in Free?

Accepted Answer

All 112 resume templates and 54 cover letter templates, Page Limit, Tidy Up, Quick Style, the readability and export checks, and PDF, Word, text, Markdown, HTML, and JSON downloads with no watermark. Autosave and version history are included. The launch limits are 10 saved documents, 100 tracked jobs, and 250 MB of uploads.

Question 7

What do Pro and Lifetime include?

Accepted Answer

Both are launch previews with the same features and the same limits: 1,000 saved documents, 5,000 tracked jobs, 5 GB of uploads, career website tools, analytics, sharing and review tools, and MCP connections. Pro is proposed at $9 a month or $69 a year. Lifetime is proposed at $199 once, for the life of the Resumr service. Checkout is not active.

Question 8

What happens when I reach a limit?

Accepted Answer

You can still open, edit, and export work you already saved. Creating another document or job past the limit is blocked until you are under it. Reaching a limit does not delete existing work. Enforcing the limits in the cloud requires the plan-limits database migration.

Question 9

Are AI, domains, and MCP included in the price?

Accepted Answer

No. A provider key you add is billed by that provider. Registering or renewing a domain is billed by the registrar. An external MCP service is billed by that service. Resumr does not include hosted AI credits.

Question 10

Will my resume stay on one page?

Accepted Answer

Yes, by default. As you add content, Resumr tightens spacing, line height, and text size just enough to fit, and text never goes below 10pt. Your own design settings stay as you set them. Choose 2 Pages or No Limit in Quick Style whenever you want more room.

Question 11

What does Tidy Up do?

Accepted Answer

Tidy Up removes dead space in one step. It clears forced page breaks, ends a two-column sidebar tint where its content ends, and moves sections between columns so both end near the same line. One Undo reverses all of it.

Question 12

What happens if my content can’t fit on one page?

Accepted Answer

Resumr keeps the tightest readable spacing and tells you in Quick Style. You can trim content, try Tidy Up, or raise the page limit to two pages.

Question 13

Can I control where pages break?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Any section can start on a new page, and you can keep each entry and each heading with its content. The preview shows exactly where pages break, and the PDF and Word files follow the same rules.

Question 14

Can I set margins in inches or millimeters?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Page measurements can be shown in px, pt, mm, cm, in, or a percent of the paper width. Changing the unit only changes what you see. The document keeps one stored value.

Question 15

Can I choose how page numbers look?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Footer page numbers can be decimal, Roman, or alphabetic, or a custom line that uses {page} and {total}. PDF uses the final page count. Word uses live page fields.

Question 16

Can applicant-tracking systems read my resume?

Accepted Answer

Yes. PDF and Word files contain real, selectable text in reading order. Word files use tab stops instead of tables for dates and columns. The export check reads your file back the way a parser does and scores it before you apply.

Question 17

Which formats can I download?

Accepted Answer

PDF and Word (DOCX), plus plain text, Markdown, HTML, and a JSON backup of your content. All of them are included, with no watermark.

Question 18

Will the PDF look like the editor?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The editor and the PDF use the same font files and the same layout rules, including date layouts, timelines, two columns, skill chips, and section cards. The PDF can run a little taller than the preview, so Page Limit checks the PDF page count as well.

Question 19

Do two-column resumes work with ATS?

Accepted Answer

The text in a two-column PDF stays selectable and in a sensible order, and the export check reports what a parser reads. If an employer asks for the simplest format, the Word file or a one-column template is the safest choice.

Question 20

Can I download everything in my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Settings, under Export your data, builds a zip in your browser. It includes your profile, career-page wording, extra career sites, documents, jobs, the career journal and snippets saved on this device, allowed preferences, and uploaded files, plus JSON Resume and optional reading copies. Passwords, provider keys, billing access, and share grants are left out. Restoring puts that copy on this device. It does not republish a page or turn on a paid plan. The zip is not encrypted, so keep it private.

Question 21

Can I change a template after I start?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Templates are starting points, not locked layouts. Change colors, fonts, header and entry layouts, spacing, dividers, and columns at any time without losing content.

Question 22

Can I preview a template without creating a document?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On the template library, the theme library, and New Document, Preview opens the full page. Nothing is saved until you choose Use or create the document.

Question 23

Do themes open as a blank page?

Accepted Answer

No. Each theme preview is a real resume with sample content, so you can see the type, colors, and layout before you start.

Question 24

Can I save my own design?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Presets in the Design panel save the current design as a live preview of your resume. You can apply, rename, duplicate, replace, or delete a preset, and export or import them as JSON. History is one timeline you can scrub through. One Undo reverses a step.

Question 25

What is the readability check?

Accepted Answer

It checks text contrast against every background, plus text size, line height, line length, and font weight, and offers a one-click fix for each issue.

Question 26

How many fonts are there?

Accepted Answer

More than 130 families. Body and heading each have a searchable list with type filters and A–Z sorting. Quick Style also offers ready-made pairings. The preview and the PDF load the same font files.

Question 27

Does Resumr support other languages?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Arabic and Hebrew documents read right to left, and scripts such as Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean print in the PDF. Cover letter dates use the US style, such as October 15, 2026, unless the document’s date format shows a day another way.

Question 28

How do I switch light and dark mode?

Accepted Answer

Open Display & Accessibility in the top bar. Appearance has Light, Dark, and Auto, plus accent colors and Liquid Glass. The choice is saved on this device. The footer and the phone menu do not contain a separate theme switch.

Question 29

What accessibility options are there?

Accepted Answer

The same menu has text size, high contrast, underlined links, a stronger focus ring, a dyslexia-friendly font, looser letter spacing, reduced motion, reduced transparency, and larger tap targets. Quick setups cover low vision, dyslexia, motion sensitivity, and easier tapping. Settings has the same controls.

Question 30

Can I zoom the resume without zooming the whole editor?

Accepted Answer

A pinch does not zoom the page or the preview. The preview has zoom buttons. Text size is in Display & Accessibility.

Question 31

How do I create an account?

Accepted Answer

With your name, email, and password, or with Continue with Google. The password field shows a red, yellow, or green strength meter, and a second field checks that the two match as you type. Creating the account records that you accepted the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

Question 32

Can I sign in with a passkey right away?

Accepted Answer

Not on a brand-new email-and-password account. After the account exists, Settings, under Sign-in & Security, can add a passkey, an email sign-in link, or an authenticator app for 2-step verification. Continue with Google is available on Create account and Sign in. Apple, Microsoft, and GitHub are not offered yet.

Question 33

What does Keep me signed in do?

Accepted Answer

It is on by default and remembers your email on this device. Turn it off and the session ends when you close the browser.

Question 34

How do I reset my password?

Accepted Answer

Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. The reset link opens a page where you choose a new password and confirm it. If you already added a passkey, you can sign in with that instead.

Question 35

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

In Settings, choose Delete Account, type delete, and confirm. An optional reason can be left with the request. Deletion is permanent, so download a copy first if you want one. If file cleanup fails partway through, the screen says that some uploads may already be removed.

Question 36

What can I track for a job?

Accepted Answer

The stage, follow-ups, the resume and letter you attached, notes, interview rounds, and hiring contacts. Keyword coverage counts words from the posting that appear in your materials. It is not a prediction of whether you will be hired.

Question 37

Can I share a resume without making it public?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A share link can require a password, an invited email, or an expiration date, and you can revoke it. Activity tracking is off unless you turn it on. People you allow to download get a PDF from that link.

Question 38

Is there a public career page?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Free includes one /u/username address. Pro and Lifetime include five, and each can use a different resume. A custom domain can be checked with DNS records. On Pro and Lifetime, a verified domain opens that site when requests for the host reach Resumr. The check does not register the domain or issue a certificate. Checkout is not active.

Question 39

What does analytics show?

Accepted Answer

Your exports, copied share links, and, when tracking is on for a link, opens, downloads, and clicks. A public page can record views. Country and city come from the network headers, and the IP address is stored only as a daily hash. Bots and link previews are skipped.

Question 40

Where do deleted documents go?

Accepted Answer

Recently Deleted. You can restore them or remove them permanently. Assets you delete stay out of the picker and remain available in a backup until that trash is emptied.

Question 41

Is my data private?

Accepted Answer

Yes, unless you share it. Documents belong to your account. Access is checked on the server, and database rules keep one account from reading another’s. A share link or a public profile shows only what you chose.

Question 42

Which cookies does Resumr use?

Accepted Answer

An essential sign-in cookie, and a preference that remembers whether Keep me signed in is off. Analytics and advertising cookies are not used, so the notice has no Accept or Reject choice. Cookie Settings in the footer lists each category. The Cookie Policy is under Legal.

Question 43

Where are the Terms and Privacy Policy?

Accepted Answer

Under Legal: Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. The older /terms, /privacy, and /cookies addresses redirect there.

Question 44

Can I get my data out?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Download a JSON backup with any document, or the full account zip from Settings, under Export your data.

Question 45

How do I contact support?

Accepted Answer

Use Contact and choose a topic. You can attach a photo or a short video up to 4 MB. You receive a reference such as RS-FQCAQT and a status page that moves from Received to Looking into it to Fixed. An error page or a missing page can send the same kind of report. The report includes the error and the page address, not the text of your resume.

Question 46

Does Resumr use AI?

Accepted Answer

Only when you ask it to. Suggestions stay separate until you apply them. If you add your own provider key, that provider processes the text you send and bills you for it. Resumr does not include hosted AI credits, and your documents are not used to train models.

Question 47

What is MCP?

Accepted Answer

MCP connects an assistant you approve to your Resumr account. You pick the permissions. Read access can see a name, headline, summary, document titles, or job stages. Edit wording can read and replace resume, CV, cover letter, and career-site text when you ask it to correct something. It cannot change email, phone, employment dates, passwords, your plan, share links, or domain verification. You can also connect up to 10 external MCP servers, and each outside call asks you to confirm first. The Gemini consumer app is not a supported custom-MCP client. Checkout is not active, and a cloud client needs a reachable HTTPS site.

Question 48

Is there a browser extension?

Accepted Answer

A Chrome development preview can save a job title, address, and text you select, then send that posting to one paired Resumr tab after you approve it. You can also enter contact details, scan an application, and select individual empty fields to fill. It does not submit applications or sync your profile. Store submission is pending.
